The right support,
at the right stage.

Scheduling support for contractors who need the P6 work and reporting handled, with clear requests for input from the field.

01

Baseline schedules

A P6 baseline built around your construction plan, contract milestones, and the owner’s scheduling requirements.

Core deliverables

  • Logic, calendars, and milestones
  • Baseline narrative and submittal layouts
  • Schedule checks and open-item list

02

Schedule updates

Send field progress and upcoming plans. Actua maintains the P6 update and prepares the narrative explaining the forecast.

Core deliverables

  • Updated P6 file and schedule layouts
  • Milestone and critical-path narrative
  • Look-ahead and PM action list

03

Independent reviews

A second set of eyes before submission, or when an existing schedule needs a closer look.

Core deliverables

  • Prioritized corrections
  • Specification compliance check
  • Questions tied to specific activities

04

Time impact & delay analysis

Assess change and delay effects on completion. Prospective TIAs follow AACE RP 52R-06. Retrospective analyses use the AACE RP 29R-03 framework, with the method selected for your contract and records.

Core deliverables

  • P6 event models and milestone comparisons
  • Concurrent delay and recovery assessment
  • Time-extension narrative and supporting records

Project-based support. Coordination is primarily by email, with calls arranged in advance. A fixed-fee proposal follows a review of scope and deadline.

What your team receives

Schedule support
your PM can use.

P6 files, clear narratives, and focused questions for your team. These examples cover monthly updates, baseline checks, and time-extension analysis.

01 / Monthly update · remaining work

Electrical equipment installation

Remaining duration21 to 42 workdays

What changed. The remaining duration doubled on an activity already in progress.

Actua prepares. A recalculated P6 forecast and narrative explaining the confirmed work plan and any effects on milestones.

Your PM confirms. Remaining quantities, crew plan, and energization prerequisites with the electrical subcontractor.

02 / Monthly update · work sequence

Formwork to reinforcing steel

Revised handoffOverlap to finish-to-start

What changed. The previous schedule allowed rebar to overlap layout and formwork. Revised logic requires that work to finish before rebar starts.

Actua prepares. The checked handoff in P6, downstream forecast dates, and narrative explaining the confirmed sequence and its reason.

Your PM decides. Must the predecessor work be complete, or can released areas allow the crews to overlap?

Before the first submittal

45 workdays in one piping activity.

The example contract requires Engineer approval for construction activities over 20 workdays, plus narrative justification.

Actua checks existing approval and prepares an activity breakdown or supporting justification as needed. Your superintendent confirms the installation sequence, work areas, and crew production supporting it.

Retrospective delay analysis / Illustrative excerpt

Explain the net impact on completion.

Utility conflicts, traffic-control approvals, and revised construction sequencing were assessed using an earlier schedule and actualized delay information from a later submitted update.

Trace successive impacts
Insert the actualized events in stages so each modeled completion change can be traced to the affected work.
Check concurrent delay
A separate utility impact added no further modeled completion delay because its effect was concurrent with the controlling impacts.
Reconcile forecast recovery
Shorter actual durations and allowing rehabilitation after testing, instead of waiting for abandonment, reduced the modeled completion impact.

Actua prepares. P6 comparison models, an event chronology, the explanation of concurrency and recovery, and a technical narrative for a time-extension request or response.

Your PM provides. Schedule updates, change correspondence, field records, and confirmation of the actual work sequence.

Adapted from an owner-side response-letter draft supporting a time-extension recommendation.

Anonymized excerpts from separate schedule reviews and a draft delay assessment. Activity names are generalized; project identities, dates, and extension totals are omitted. Responses illustrate proposed deliverables after record and field confirmation.

Discuss scheduling support

Approach / Three steps

Defined before the work begins.

  1. Share the requirements

Send the project context, the service you need, your deadline, and any scheduling specification or contract milestone dates.

  2. Confirm scope and fee

The requirements are reviewed for fit. If available, a fixed-fee proposal defines the scope, deliverables, and timing before work begins.

  3. Review the prepared package

Actua prepares the agreed P6 file, narrative, and layouts. Your team confirms field facts and approves construction decisions before submission.

FAQ / Practical details

Before you reach out.

Clear inputs lead to a clearer proposal. If something is not covered here, include the question in your email.

What should I send with an inquiry?

The project type, the service needed, the target deadline, and any scheduling specification or contract milestone dates you already have. Mention an existing P6 file or report if one is available; it helps define the review.

Can you support a one-time review or recurring updates?

Both. Engagements are project-based: a baseline, independent review, time impact or delay analysis, or monthly updates for a defined period. Scope and fee are confirmed before work begins.

How does coordination work?

Email is the primary channel. Calls can be arranged in advance when a working session would help. Deliverables and information needs are confirmed in the proposal.

Inquiry / Project scheduling

Start with the project and the deadline.

Share the service, requirements, and target date. We will review the scope and confirm availability before preparing a fixed-fee proposal.

Email is the primary point of coordination. Calls can be arranged in advance.
